About Flowsync

Operator-led. MIT-trained. Problem-first.

Flowsync was built by a supply chain executive who has sat on both sides of the table — running procurement for mid-market companies and studying operations at the world's top supply chain program.

14 years of supply chain.
Built from the inside out.

Flowsync was founded after a deliberate decision to step away from a VP of Procurement role to pursue a Master's in Supply Chain Management at MIT — one of the world's top-ranked programs for operations and logistics. The goal was to combine real-world executive experience with the analytical rigor that only comes from deep academic study.

The result is a practice that thinks differently than traditional consulting firms. We don't parachute in with a pre-built framework. We diagnose first — mapping the physical, information, and financial flows of your supply chain before recommending anything.

Over 14 years and across three industries — manufacturing, retail, and distribution — the work has generated over $13M in documented savings for the organizations we've served. That track record is what Flowsync brings to every engagement.

🎓
MIT — Master of Supply Chain Management
MIT's SCM program is ranked #1 in the world. Rigorous coursework spanning demand planning, procurement strategy, logistics networks, and technology adoption in operations. One of fewer than 50 students admitted annually.
🎓
SMU Cox — MBA
Master of Business Administration with focus on operations management and strategic leadership.
📦
Amazon — Whole Foods Market & Business Services
3 years inside Amazon's ecosystem — 2 years at Whole Foods Market (supply chain and procurement operations in a $20B+ retail environment) and 1 year at Amazon Business Services.
🏢
VP of Procurement — Mid-Market
Executive-level procurement leadership at a mid-market company — the exact environment Flowsync serves. Built and ran sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, and inventory systems from the ground up.
📅
14+ Years in Supply Chain
Across strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, inventory planning, and demand forecasting — in both operating and advisory roles.

Two principles that guide every engagement.

Principle 01
The Three Flows Model
Supply chain management is the management of three simultaneous flows: physical (material and product), information (forecasts, orders, signals), and financial (payments, terms, working capital). Most problems live at the intersection of all three — which is why single-flow diagnostics almost always miss the real root cause.
Principle 02
Problem-First. Technology-Second.
A core lesson from MIT: start with a real business problem, then explore whether AI or any other tool can solve it. Never start with the decision to adopt technology and hunt for a use case. This is how supply chain transformations fail — and how Flowsync prevents that failure for our clients.
🔬
The MIT Approach to AI in Supply Chain
Many companies waste millions implementing AI tools before they understand their own data, processes, or root problems. Flowsync applies the MIT framework: define the problem with precision, quantify its cost, map its causes across all three flows, and only then evaluate whether AI — or a simpler intervention — is the right solution. Often the answer is a renegotiated contract, a process change, or better data hygiene. Sometimes it's an AI tool. We'll tell you which — and why.

What clients experience working with Flowsync.

🎯
Ruthlessly diagnostic
We spend more time understanding your problem than pitching solutions. Every engagement begins with listening, mapping, and quantifying — not presenting.
📐
Intellectually rigorous
MIT-trained analytical frameworks applied to real operations problems. We don't recommend what we can't explain — and we can always explain our reasoning.
🤝
Operator-minded
We've run supply chains, not just advised them. Recommendations are shaped by what actually works in operations — not what looks good in a slide deck.
Fast and direct
Mid-market companies don't have time for 6-month engagements that deliver a report. We move quickly, communicate plainly, and implement alongside you.
💡
Honest about fit
If you're not the right client for us, we'll tell you in the first call. We only take engagements where we're confident we can deliver meaningful, measurable results.
📊
ROI-anchored
Every engagement is scoped and measured against a financial baseline. We know what success looks like before we start — and we hold ourselves accountable to it.
